Trekking time varies from 1 to 6 hours depending on the family’s location, through forest and bamboo slopes. The hike rewards with an unforgettable hour spent observing gorillas in their natural habitat.

Watching them leap through the canopy makes wonderful contrast to the previous day’s calm gorilla encounter.
In the afternoon, choose between two options: a scenic excursion to the Twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo) for boat rides, canoeing, and panoramic viewpoints, or a relaxed rest afternoon at your lodge to unwind by the fire or enjoy spa facilities as you reflect on the primate encounters.
