1-day Luxury trip  to Akagera National Park Trip details 

The journey begins with boarding a private chartered plane from Kigali International Airport to Mihindi airstrip in Akagera. This airstrip is located in the northern sector of the park.

The flight takes approximately 25- 30 minutes. The flight experience is so scenic as it provides panoramic views of Rwanda and Akagera National Park.  Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a private driver guide in a luxury open-sided safari vehicle to a pleasant space in the wild or luxury lodge for breakfast.

After registration at the park center, get into your safari vehicle for a guided game drive starting in the southern sector of the park. drive towards the northern sector that is popularly known for harbouring most wildlife. Expected animal sightings include the big five, ie, Elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffalo. In addition to these are: zebras, giraffes, warthogs, baboons, and several antelope species.

At 12:00, assemble for lunch at Magashi luxury camp overlooking Lake Rwanyakazinga. After lunch, rest in a private lounge tent with a fan provided.

At 2:00 pm, proceed with a scenic drive in the northern sector of the park for more animal sightings. Alternatively, go for a boat cruise on Lake Rwanyakazinga, where you will see more wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles and several bird species

At 4:30 pm, transfer to Mihindi airstrip for a flight back to Kigali. On arrival at the airport, have a private transfer to your accommodation
