You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali, to begin your journey. Trekking excursion
While at the park headquarters, professional park rangers will brief you on gorilla trekking regulations and safety procedures. After that, you and the other trekkers will be placed into groups and assigned to a certain gorilla family. The trek takes you through bamboo woods, tropical jungles, and rocky terrain for approximately 1–5 hours, depending on the gorilla’s location.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will have one unforgettable hour to observe the mothers with their babies, the juveniles and the powerful presence on the silverback. This experience is amazing and the most sought-after wildlife encounter in Africa.

You can go gorilla trekking at any time of the year, but the best time is from June to September and from December to February.
