Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kigali-Ruhengeri

Have breakfast and thereafter meet our guide/driver and then after transfer to volcanoes national park and on your way visit some of the Rwanda genocide memorial and have lunch en-route. After transfer to your lodge Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Lebombou Lodge/Laplame Hotel/Kinigi Guest House. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: H/B

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Have breakfast and thereafter transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the mountain gorillas and the park as well as it protects other primates. Thereafter enter into the forest looking for the gorillas, when you meet them take memorable photos and videos and after return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. After spend your evening visiting the Rwanda cultural sites shop some of the Rwandan crafts and arts and the twin Lake (Burera and Ruhondo) and return to lodge for your dinner and overnight. Day 3: Ruhengeri-Kisoro (Lake Mutanda)

Have breakfast, and after embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Uganda-Kisoro via Cyanika border with the lunch en-route, after transfer to Chameleon Lodge/Lake Mutanda Resort for check in and then relax at the shores of the volcanic Lake Mutanda as you wait for your dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B

Day 4: Batwa cultural trail

Have breakfast and take Batwa tourism trail, and this help the indigenous Batwa pygmy people to keep their culture alive, following their eviction from the forests of southwest Uganda more than two decades ago. The Batwa are Uganda’s traditionally forest-dwelling pygmy people. About a century ago, there was a conflict between the Batwa and the Bantu speaking people in the region. The Bantu tried to expel the Batwa people from the area, so they hideout in Garama Cave. The Bantu had no idea there was a hidden cave in the forest and therefore could not find the crafty Batwa. Your guide will explain how the Batwa lived and fought out of this cave. The cave is 342 meters in length and 14 meters deep, and is now only inhabited by bats, the walk to and from the cave passes through mountain woodland with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery or watch birds. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B

Day 5: Kisoro-Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, thereafter embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with your lunch en-route, dinner and overnight at Mweya Lodge/Katara Lodge/Enganzi Lodge/Bush Lodge. Meal plan: F/B

Day 6: Game drive & Boat Ride

Dawn game drive with an opportunity to view early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. These experiences take 3-4 hours’ drive and thereafter return to your lodge for refreshment, breakfast and lunch. After drive to the Mweya peninsular side to catch up the Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel that connects the Ramsar Lake George to Lake Edward, and here get prepared with your camera to take unforgettable photographs of the various species of wildlife and birds along the shores of the Channel. Day 7: Kyambura Gorge-Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, drive to Kyambura gorge for the unforgettable chimpanzee trekking, on this trekking expect to watch more primates like the white and black Columbus, Vervet monkeys, manageably among others.  Return to lodge for lunch and thereafter transfer to Kibale Forest National Park with the fabled view of the mountain of the moon. Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Ndali Lodge/Mountain of the Moon Hotel/Kibale Primate Cottages. Meal plan: F/B

Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Walk

Breakfast, after head to the park headquarters for briefing and after enter into the forest to search for the chimpanzee in the mist, while on this walk expect to watch other primates like white and black Columbus, Vervet monkeys and manageably species. Return to the lodge for lunch, evening take the Bigodi walk looking for other primates and the birdlife species like the white and black Columbus, Vervet monkeys, Red tailed monkeys and manageably. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B

Day 9: Kibale-Kampala/Entebbe

Have breakfast, and after transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route and after transfer to Entebbe international airport for your departure flight. End of service
